Kushner to travel to Middle East in push for peace – The Hill

White House senior adviser Jared Kushner will travel to Israel and the Palestinian territories on Wednesday as part of the Trump administration’s efforts to broker a Middle East peace deal, according to The Wall Street Journal.

President Trump’s son-in-law will reportedly meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem before meeting with Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah to talk about the two parties’ priorities and the next steps in the negotiations.

Kushner’s visit would be the first major follow up to Trump’s first visit to the Middle East as president last month.

The White House, which has said a peace deal is a priority for the Trump administration, emphasized that no major breakthrough are to be expected during Kushner’s trip, according to the Journal.
